ps. For the SDR based design, the WR-G39DDCe is a candidate(I personal preferred). The frequency range 9 kHz to 3500 MHz and IF signal up to 4MHz bandwidth can be further processed by computer.
For the modern receiver, SDR(Software Defined Radio) based machine had occupied the market and advantaged to the old-style receiver. The old-style receiver is good for immediately usage by turn-on the power, and get the feeling by tuning the wheel and keypad.
